A bright future.

Mineral-Right’s facility remains the world’s only producer of engineered zeolite for the water treatment industry.

A brief history.

During the 1960s, Water-Right (our sister company) used polystyrene resin for its city water applications. For rural well waters, zeolite medias were used in Water-Right’s equipment.

From 1963-1984 Water-Right had been purchasing synthetic zeolites for well water applications. When these specialized medias were applied to difficult water conditions, they outperformed the traditional polystyrene resins that are commonly used in city water markets.

In 1984, Glenn Gruett took the opportunity to purchase the last remaining zeolite plant in existence, including the zeolite manufacturing rights, inventory, and all remaining zeolite production equipment. He then relocated and designed a new production facility in Phillipsburg, Kansas. Phillipsburg was deemed the perfect location with an optimal weather environment for manufacturing a synthetic zeolite.

In 1986, Mineral-Right was formed and Gruett began shipping Crystal-Right, creating a change in the marketplace forever. Those early years instilled the creative thinking that drives us today.
